[pictured: an etching of Anne of Cleves titled Anna Clivensis Henrici VIIIi Regis Angliae Vxor IIIIta; c. 1642 by Wenceslaus Hollar]
In the days between the initial meeting of Anne and Henry and their wedding on 6 January 1540, Thomas Cromwell and Henry VIII discovered Anne’s previous betrothal to Francis, the Duke of Lorraine, when she was twelve and he was 10 in 1527; the betrothal was considered ‘unofficial’ by 1535, however not officially dismissed. When Anne married Henry, she was still, officially, betrothed to Francis, therefore, her marriage to Henry, from the beginning, was legally invalid.
Around the time of his marriage to Anne, Henry came to notice Kathryn Howard, the Lady-in-Waiting to Anne; she was the first cousin of Henry’s second wife, Anne Boleyn and the first cousin-once removed of Henry’s daughter, Elizabeth. Henry became infatuated with his previous wife’s cousin, bestowing lands to her in April 1540. Henry called the young woman, likely between 16-22 years of age, his ‘Rose without a thorn.’

has anyone ever noticed Anne Boleyn’s portrait just chillin at Hogwarts

expanding on this: The Harry Potter Wiki says that Anne may very well have been a squib!

The Wiki also states That Queen Mary I was a witch, too. She had her own wand. It does not state her blood status, though she was either a half-blood on her mother’s side or a muggle-born witch.

(and it’s all for pretend, of course. It’s the Harry Potter universe. :D )
