On May 17, 1536:
The five men of whom Anne Boleyn was rumored to have committed adultery with were executed. They were:
George Boleyn, Viscount Rochford; her brother.
Sir Henry Norris
Sir Francis Weston
Sir William Brereton
Mark Smeaton
Only Smeaton confessed to the crime, though this was almost certainly due to torture. Anne would not follow them to the executioner until May 19, 1536.
Rest in peace, George Boleyn, Henry Norris, Francis Weston, William Brereton, and Mark Smeaton.
